Health, Gardening, and Oral Hygiene Training

A CompassionLink team will partner with a local ministry in Ica, Peru, to share the love of Christ through practical health and community outreach. We will visit multiple schools to teach children about the importance of oral hygiene, provide toothbrushes, and offer fluoride treatments to help promote healthy smiles. The team will also host a workshop for local pastors, providing encouragement and practical tools for ministry. In the community, we will lead a gardening workshop to equip local families with skills they can use to grow food, while also creating opportunities to build relationships and share the Gospel. In the evenings, we will travel to rural villages to participate in outreach, ministering to families and sharing the hope of Jesus. Through each opportunity, we desire to meet physical needs and open doors to share the Gospel and demonstrate the love of Christ.

Hybrid Medical Clinic: Medical Skills Training (MST) and a focused medical clinic
August 14-23, 2026 (Postponed)
Personnel needed: Medical Examiners, Nurses
This outreach model combines elements of both basic medical skills training and healthcare relief (clinic) in the week-long outreach. Before the outreach begins, the host church and global workers carefully select a group of local church workers who are focused on evangelism and outreach. These selected individuals receive training during the first two days of the program and are mentored throughout the subsequent clinic days. At the end of the week, after CompassionLink departs, these workers, with the support of the local church and global workers, continue to use the skills they have learned to access, benefit, and bring God’s relationship message to other communities.
