EVANGELICAL COUNCIL FOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY

The ECFA is an accreditation agency dedicated to helping Christian ministries earn the public’s trust through adherence to seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship. Founded in 1979, it is comprised of more than 1,100 charitable, religious, missionary, social and educational tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations. ECFA’s Standards of Responsible Stewardship focus on board governance, financial transparency, integrity in fundraising, and proper use of charity resources.

Give

The Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance reports on nationally soliciting charitable organizations that are the subject of donor inquiries. These reports include an evaluation of the subject charity in relation to the voluntary BBB charity standards. The Alliance offers guidance to donors on making informed giving decisions through charity evaluations, various “Tips” publications, and publishes the quarterly Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Guide.
