CompassionLink is a team of dedicated consultants who partner with missionaries and national churches to create and restore healthy communities.
Here’s what makes us unique:
We educate trainers who train other community and church members, which makes our work self-sustaining and does not require our presence or support to continue.
We care for the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of individuals and communities. This helps strengthen the hands of a local church or establishes a church where one does not exist.
We are part of a long-term strategy involving missionaries and the national church to reach a community. Along with the local community, we identify assets and needs, working together to develop solutions.
We empower communities by celebrating their accomplishments and progress. We train and partner with them to encourage continued, holistic growth in all aspects of life.
Partnering with missionaries and local community members, we help identify the people and resources already in the community to develop solutions together. As CompassionLink grows, we continue to explore new, sustainable ways to develop healthy communities. Our teams partner with missionaries around the world who ask for our help. Depending on the results of an assessment and depth of need, CompassionLink often looks for more people to join us on a project team. SHORT-TERM TRIP OPPORTUNITIES
Mexico — March 3–11, 2018
Personnel Needed: Health screeners and educators, RNs, dentists, dental hygienists, and optical. (PERSONNEL IS CLOSED)
Overview: This health evangelism outreach will partner with our missionaries and a small church to build relationships with the community through health screening, education, and training, as well as optical and dental care.
Peru (Location TBD) — March 9–18, 2018

Overview: This medical evangelism outreach will partner with Evangel University pre-med and nursing students to complement a church plant.
Gambia — March 16–March 31, 2018
Personnel Needed: (PERSONNEL IS CLOSED)
Overview: This outreach will partner with missionaries ministering in Gambia, and will help us determine resources available to this community. CompassionLink will spend several days assessing health needs, talking with community members, and creating future plans of action to better serve the community in the future.
Colombia (Cali) — April 7–15, 2018
Personnel Needed: Physicians, NPs, PAs, dentists, RNs, and interpreters.
Overview: This outreach will partner with missionaries ministering in a prison in Cali, Colombia. The team will also teach preventative healthcare. One prison block will be targeted; the goal is for medical care to be eventually provided to the entire prison population. The missionaries desire for this outreach to showcase the love of Jesus and connect new believers with local churches.
Benin — April 26–May 4, 2018

Overview: CL is partnering with our host missionaries to assess how we can help widows keep their families healthy and how we can help with the health of the street kids to whom our hosts minister. Information from this trip will help us determine how best to serve their community long term.
Honduras — June 9–21, 2018
Personnel Needed: Limited medical personnel slots; Chi Alpha students.
Overview: This medical evangelism outreach is a land-and-river (roughing it) mission. Medical personnel will partner with Chi Alpha pre-med and nursing students to reach people through evangelism and discipleship in several locations along a river.
Colombia (Cali) — June 30–July 8, 2018
Personnel Needed: Physicians, NPs, PAs, dentists, RNs, pharmacist, and interpreters.
Overview: This outreach will partner with missionaries ministering in a prison in Cali, Colombia. The team will also work with local doctors and medical personnel to encourage them in ongoing service to the prison. One prison block will be targeted; the goal is for medical care to be eventually provided to the entire prison population. The missionaries desire for this outreach to showcase the love of Jesus and connect new believers with local churches.
